Tywydd gwael eto - heavy weather

23rd November 2017
DIWEDDARAF - LATEST
Mae'r llwybr rhwng Clarach a'r Borth wedi'i ail-agor (gyda gwyriad bach i mewn i'r cae.
The coast path between Clarach and Borth has reopened with a minor diversion into the adjoining field.

As reported on the bbc news website (Welsh)

Mae sawl man yn y gogledd rwyf yn eu hadnabod yn dda wedi dioddef dros nos o lifogydd a thirlithriadau. Druan o sir Fôn a rhannau o sir Gaernarfon.

Some areas which I know quite well in north Wales are today (23 November) suffering from some pretty wild and wet weather, which left a trail of flooding and landslips.

Closer to home, the coast path between Clarach and Wallog has been closed, following the discovery of a massive rift along its line, with the likelyhood that a very large chunk of the cliff and path will fall into the sea. A long diversion inland has been put in place.

Needless to say, Aberystwyth prom has had a battering, especially the area of sea defences along South Beach and the harbour.

Yma yn ardal Aberystwyth, y glannau sydd wedi cael eu heffeithio yn bennaf gan y tywydd gwael, gyda rhan o lwybr yr arfordir rhwng Clarach a Wallog wedi'i gau, gyda darn hir o'r clogwyn ar fin disgyn i'r môr islaw. Mae dargyfeiriad (hir) ar hyd y ffordd gefn o Llangorwen i Wallog.

Does dim angen dweud bod y prom yn Aberystwyth wedi cael dipyn o waldiad hefyd, yn enwedig yr amddiffynfeydd ar hyd Traeth y De.

Doedd gen i ddim amser na chwant i grwydro llawer, felly maddeuwch bod y lluniau bron i gyd wedi'u tynnu o bron yr un man.

Sorry that the pictures are taken from vaguely the same aspect, but I was a bit too busy to search for more difficult or interesting angles.
