Murmur y drudwy - Starling darlings

17th December 2013

Tydw i ddim wedi gallu cyrraedd Aberystwyth y gaeaf hwn pan mae'r amgylchiadau yn dda ar gyfer gweld y drudwy yn heidio at y pier, ond y prynhawn yma fe biciais draw yn unswydd mewn gobaith o gipio llun go lew. Roedd yr adar yn swil o ddawnsio heno, ond o leiaf fe gefais luniau sy'n rhoi syniad o fawredd yr ymgasgliad

I haven't been able to get to the promenade recently in Aberystwyth at a time when good pictures of the starling murmuration are possible. So this afternoon I made an effort and got there in time, just as the sun was sinking. The birds didn't fancy a dervish dance today, but I got a couple of pictures which set the scene.

Aberystwyth on a nice sunset evening from now to February-ish is well worth a visit, if only just to see the murmuration. Come over and see it for at least once in your life. It doesn't last particularly long, but the memories will be with you forever. There are plenty of hotels on the prom - so you can appreciate the sunset and nip out to see the birds from the (under new management) Belle Vue Royal, Gwesty Cymru, or further down the, the Richmond or the Marine, or just go to Baravin for a posh award winning pizza and a glass of red.

Happy days.
