Tincer - cysgodfan-1201 - Aberystwyth

6 January 2013, Aberystwyth, Wales, UK. The scene following the morning high tide. The iconic public shelter subsides onto the beach as a massive hole is gouged by waves. Debris is strewn along the road and pavements again. The seaside town of Aberystwyth on Cardigan Bay, still reeling from substantial damage caused by huge waves over several days, was battered again at high tide on 6 January. Gusts of 70 mph and a huge swell caused waves to break over sea defences, residents of seafront buildings to be evacuated, and the whole promenade to be cordoned-off by police and council workers.
